Hudnall Planetarium was created when the Board of Trustees of Tyler Junior College elected to build a planetarium on the campus in 1963. It is the oldest East Texas planetarium and has a 30’ foot diameter domed theater with an assortment of telescopes. Their goals are simple ... to serve East Texas by promoting astronomical and scientific understanding, keeping schools, business and the community abreast of the most recent discoveries and provide lectures and other events designed to educate and inform.

The Hudnall has a wide variety of programs for enthusiasts or all ages, fron Kindergarten up through adult,
and holiday programs as well.
